This is a Petersen Type L sword.
These swords see their peak usage during the 9th - 10th Centuries and in terms of distribution England has the highest number of Type L finds than anywhere else. This has lead some to consider the Type L to be an English Anglo-Saxon style sword.
The hilt pictured has been blackened but is available in polished steel for the same price.
The blade is made blunt for reenactment battles (minimum 2mm edge and point rounded off to a 25mm diameter)
