9th - 10th Century Winged Spear Head - British Museum

This spear head has been based on an example from the British Museum, Inv. No. 1856,0701.1449

It is a Petersen Type G spear of Carolingian origin, found in the UK. It has swept back wings and a partially faceted socket.

 

My spear heads are all hand forged from EN45 spring steel.
