A late Anglo Scandinavian belt buckle dating from 900 - 1100 AD. The buckle frame is D shaped with a zoomorphic head design in the centre of the buckle.
This buckle has been based on an example on the Portable Antiquities Website, ID: SWYOR-EE2750.
This buckle would have seen use between the 10th – 12th centuries.
Cast in brass in the UK using the lost wax casting process, original master carved and cast by Stuart Makin of Jackhammer Forge.

The buckle plate will fit a 15mm wide strap.
The buckle is supplied with a brass fixing plate and rivet to attach it to your belt.
