This handmade basketry rapping iron is used to gently tap your basket weaving materials together to keep them compact and neat.
The rapping iron has been hand forged from steel and features a loop at the end of the handle which can be used to straighten crooked or bent weaving materials.
This rapping would make a great addition to your basketry tool kit or would be a lovely gift for someone thinking of starting a new craft. It would go well with my handmade Basketry Bodkins.
