An 11th Century late Saxon belt buckle with moulded beast heads, similar to one found in Hindringham, Norfolk, UK.
An example can be seen on the Portable Antiquities Scheme website, record ID NMS-56C9E1
This buckle would have seen use between 1000 - 1100 AD
Made in the UK using the lost wax casting process, original master carved by Andy Mason, cast by Stuart Makin of Jackhammer Forge.
Width 25mm x 20mm long. Suitable for a 10mm wide belt strap.
The buckle comes supplied with a brass plate and rivet to fit it to your belt strap.
