A Late Saxon and Viking three way strap divider. It has been based on a find in the Portable Antiquities Scheme (Record ID NMS-E1ABF6) found near Fincham, Norfolk, UK.

 

It is carved in Borre style with stylised cat heads on each point of the divider

 

Cast in the UK from brass using the lost wax technique. Original master carved by Andy Mason, cast by Stuart Makin of Jackhammer Forge.

 

This strap divider likely saw usage during AD 840 - 970

 

Dimensions:
45mm wide by 45mm long.

 

Suitable for 15mm wide leather straps.
