This very intricate Viking strap distributor is a copy of a find from Norway. The original is listed on the Norges Metallsoker Forening Museum website as being from the Viking era and have given it a broad period of usage from 793 - 1066 AD

The distribution ring has carved decoration on is and the tabs are highly decorated with scrolling motifs.

It was likely used on a scabbard as part of the suspension system.

This distributor would be an excellent and fancy addition to your scabbard especially for a reenactor portraying a Viking Age Norwegian.

My replica has been cast in the UK from brass using the lost wax casting method. The master was carved by hand.

The distributor comes with the ring and three tabs. Also included are all the rivets and washers you will need to fit the tabs to your scabbard suspension straps.

Dimensions:
Ring
Outer Diameter: 30mm
Height: 15mm

Tabs
Length: 40mm
Width: 18mm

The tabs would suit an 18mm wide leather strap.
